Happiness

Where have you been
All of my life?
When I wake up in the morning you are
Farther away than last night.

And the more that I chase you,
The faster you run.

People often say that ignorance is bliss.
Thing is, I just have no interest;
I don't want to be another little lemming like you,
I want to be something new.

But the more that I chase you,
The faster you run.

Some people may think I'm a fool 'cause of the things I'd do
For just one taste of you.
I think I need some new kind of needle,
but this one's not for the flu.

And yet, the more that I chase you,
The faster you run.
