Happy Holidays

He doesn't come down the chimney,
He knocks at the heart's front door.
Always a gentleman, a confidante, and more.
His gifts of peace and clarity are offered in every encounter,
Not based on performance but delight in each son and daughter.
He inspires the best in our daily endeavors,
Opens doors of perception that uncover rich treasures.
He toppled the management of dependence and fear,
Replaced instead with competence and cheer.
He's big on gifts, all are given a few
For the sheer delight, of our discovery and use.
All talents are needed for success of the whole,
Though sometimes we overlook the humblest of souls.
So in the merriment of the holiday, gift giving, and fun,
Don't forget the deity, who went to bat for you and won.
