Hate the World, Love the Earth

It's what I've thought since my birth-
I hate the world and love the earth.
Massive landfills consume our trash,
when harmless fires can burn its ash.
Endless fires scorch our trees,
killing the birds and harming the bees.
I thought phones should hang from walls-
not in a purse or bathroom stalls.
Is there Heaven on earth?
If there is, what's it worth?
Are we really living,
or are we a shadow of what life can be?
Is the answer inside of me?
Distracted driver dies, who will be next,
after receiving a meaningless text?
Another life lost, what's it worth?
I hate the world, but I love the earth.
