Have a Heart

When you're young your eyes write checks you can't cash.
You see a future, a suitcase and no time for the past,
Only the present,
a treasure, a gift of no return
We discover blue alleys hidden paths new places where we learn,
that everyday isn't Sunday; some days we don't rest.
Instead we fight with love that beats in our chest,
It pumps love though veins and love through our breath.
It speaks to the fear, takes the sting out of death
It glues together,"the Forevers," and tells you this:
To live life, to live long be strong and have a heart.
