He Forgives

When your time has come
and your day is done
can you say you've fought evil
and that you've won?

Or perhaps you'd say
you've come a long way
but some how you've forgotten
just quite how to pray.

will you tell the master
life's been a disaster
and that you've tried
to escape much faster?

whatever you tell Him
however you lived
your light is never dim
because He forgives!
