He Is Me

he tilts his head and looks above
though turning dark, he sees a dove
a rainy night the clouds are crying
no longer bright, the day is dying
a gust of wind, a thunder song
still looks above standing strong
he keeps his eye upon the dove
keeps flying higher up to love
he earned his wings, now he's in flight
the dove of love turns into light
he sees his face, it's getting clear
the God of love he has no fear
he settles in his outstretched arm
he feels the peace, he feels the calm
his sins are washed, his soul is free
he's in a place he'll always be
look in the stars, I want to see
that in my end that he is me
