He Loves Me He Loves Me Not

I love you has lost it's meaning
Innocent and vulnerable the phrase is used against the hearts of the naive
Broken promises and trust packed into empty words
Dangerous in it's many ways it is a silent killer
Even though only figuratively...
The death is slow and painful
Those three words lock limbs ever so tightly
With a web of lies that are locked behind his smile
Venom seeps through and curls past his upturned lips
You seal your fate with just one kiss
By the finale you're too numb to find
The cause of hell that struck you blind
But I am experienced and now i see
The root of lies that destroyed me
Love is a game
He played it well
The signs were there I couldn't tell
That with every word he sent my way
He planned on breaking my heart that very first day
