He Must Choose

He is slipping through my fingers.
He is whispering in my head.
He is tearing me apart with the look he gives.
I want to take him in my arms,
Hold him while he cries those tears.
Embrace him in a hug
Prove to him
That it's all true.
There is a reason for his existence
A reason the beast within lies dormant inside.
It is not my place to show what he must choose.
Fate is the key to his existence.
I cannot interfere with his decision
He must be the one to choose
Between the beast and the life he lives with me.
