He Shall Rise

When the Earth is salted and burning He shall rise,
Not to improve man's lot but to end it
Even as Ares reaped his rewards
He shall reap all, for all is his and his alone
Thou shalt not kill,
And yet on and on he slew with great abandon
Thou shalt hold no false idols,
Yet unto himself he was his only God
Even as they bled He thirsted for more
Until there was naught to thirst for
And none left to bleed.
We shall become Him
And he will finish all that has begun
As every thing must come to an end
Be it deserved or unjust.
