He thinks that I’m perfect

He thinks that I'm perfect, that there's no one else for him,
I'd like to think the same thing, but to do so is a sin.
You might think I'm not and that I'm not best for him,
But he thinks that I'm perfect, and he loves me from within.
You can think I'm ugly and I'm not what he needs in his life,
But to him everything about me is better than just right.
And I don't have to worry about him when he's not by my side,
Because I know that he loves me and no other will suffice.
He thinks that I'm perfect, not just pretty, I'm also smart,
Never says a bad word about me, always talks from his heart.
I might not be Miss America or a rocket scientist,
But he thinks that I'm perfect, it's something he insists.
It took me awhile to accept the fact that I don't have to change.
In the past it never lasts, relationships don't sustain.
I never knew just how to act when past loves criticized me,
And now I've found someone who just wants me to be me,
It’s a little scary after being pushed around for so long,
But it's something I can get used to, cause my baby makes me strong.
I can't believe that I found someone like him,
Someone who thinks I'm beautiful, who sees me from within
He helps me to carry on and for him there's no one else,
He loves me the way I love him, and not interested in wealth.
I may drive him crazy with my makeup, hair and clothes,
But he thinks that I'm perfect, and no one can oppose.
He thinks that I'm perfect, that there's no one else for him,
I'd like to think the same thing, but to do so is a sin.
You might think I'm not and that I'm not best for him,
But he thinks that I'm perfect, and he loves me from within.
