Heart and Soul

I have grown so cold.

As the years grew old.

I've learned to see without my eyes.

To tell the truth without the lies.

At least that is how I seem.

I am but my nightmare hiding deep inside your dream.

For a broken heart devours the soul.

Without them both,no one is whole.

But tell me,which one is darker when they break?

Which one will take away the cold and ache?

A broken heart is cracked ice.

Broken souls are shattered mirrors who can be vice.

But I see myself in both when they are not apart.
For a shattered souls burns away a heart.
