Heartbeat of the Land

A rush goes through my hair
the crispness of the air.
My body in exhaust
but on do I traverse.
To stop would mean to go.
As movement is a law
that characterizes life.
As soon as we are born
we move to stay alive.
To not would mean to die.
I run at its command
the heartbeat of the land.
