Heartbroken

By Sue

I'm scared to death like a baby learning to walk.
I've built a wall that can't be tore down.
Afraid of feeling or loving anything
Not forgetting how much pain
All the sadness and sorrow
Pain Pain Pain
I felt like I was drowning but I forgot how to swim
I wanted to die
Death was what I was seeking
My heart was bleeding shattered and broken
Pieces were everywhere
All my wounds were deep
Cut wide open
Scars left
Love lost
I'm broken
Scared
Shook
Built a protector
Where no one could ever get close to reopen
The deep wounds and scars that love left
Behind.
Tragedy's caution beware
No trespassing
Memories that killed me over and over
Wanted to jump Just to drown Missing and never found.
