Heaven

What awaits through those gates
Sparkling and shining, the picture dilates
to a place where there's not only gold
but silver and riches and no more cold-hearted people
It's only peaceful
In this place, I would love to stand
to stand by the being
No, he is no man
Nothing near it matter of fact
In no area does he lack
He is my armor, strong and bold
Taking away the pain, my hand he holds
Bits of wisdom he whispers in my ear
Rejection, doubt and especially fear
are things that will not get to me this year
I will stay strong and follow along
to only things of Christ, and him alone
So I will be sure that his wish is my command
Because the only thing I long for is to stand
Through those sparkling gates and those pearly doors
and be by his side forevermore
