Heaven

i am a flightless bird whose wings are trimmed,

i wish to fly yet dream to swim,

the water will roll right off my wings,

as God does play and heaven sings.

i shall join in league as the angels soar,

i won't rest neither through hell nor heaven,

the world must be safe before i get well,

even then i will be condemned to hell.

i shall have wings like midnight,

so dark yet bright,

the good-hearted shall lift angels up in flight,

sounds of music so heavenly and light.

we pray that all shall have the chance to bask in God's glory,

we hope the chance for all to see the light,

when i see the chance,

i will not hesitate,

for God has others that lead us to our fate.
