Heaven Danced in My Yard

I remember that day heaven danced in my yard,
I still see the shadows that play,
Walk with me,
Talk with me,
Lend me your hand,
Heaven danced like the sun on the bay!

Cool air on my fingers,
Counting the clouds,
Tasting the sweet
Of the salt in your mouth, -
A flame like a river washing it down,
Heaven danced like a blaze on my skin;

Wanting to lift,
But my wings were as weak,
Kissing my lips
With the gold of your cheeks,
Turning my spine to the earth.

Walk with me,
Talk with me,
Lend me your hand,
Waves rush me like oceans,
Salt covers my hands.

I remember that day
Heaven danced in my yard,
I still see the shadows that play,
All I can do is open the door
As I watch through the tears
As I pray;

Take back all the shadows,
That haunt in my yard,
Dip me in water,
Wash off the salt,
Fill me with music
That deafens the pain,
Take off my wings
And send them to shame!
Leave me inside
The cleft of a rock, -
Shadows can't dance
If I sleep in the dark!

I remember that day
Heaven danced in my yard, -
Beauty and love kissed the sun!
Shadows now play
Through the pain
As I pray, -
He was here,
Heaven knows, - now hes gone.
