Heavens Meet the Mountains

One and true, I flew
By light of day and dark of night
To where the ground beneath my feet
Would kiss the skies.

And, awe! It dawned upon
This hollowed soul
That by way of true adoration
The skies would kiss back.

For when Heaven's doors agape
They expose the mountains and the seas,
And fallen angels descend
To their delight.

Yet man stands nervously
At the edge of the sky
With arms outreached, begging
For the stars to fall and carry him away.
