Held

His envy was current
His emotions widespread
His fever was heavy
The heart deeply bled

He was hurt by the devil
He was blessed by the god
He was longing for love
Not one fooled by facade

The glance at his subject
The victim to be
The damage he’d done
He was no longer free

Bound by jealousy
Bound by spite
Bound to affection
Preventing the light

He waits day by day
For the feeling of love
Something he was certain
To never know of
