Hello

Hello, I have a name.
No, my name won't be a goodbye to you.
Hello, you greet me standing up on the stage
The feeling of me creeping up your throat.
The burning sensation of that feeling
Like a never ending conflagration happening
Right inside you, burning as it travels to your senses.
No longer can you see, or feel the tips of your toes.
Hello, you greet me with a fearful stare, as the
World looks you up and down, the feeling
Of forgetfulness tugs at your brain.
I wonder if your own tongue will move in a new wondrous way.
Hello, you greet me with nails jabbing the
Flesh of your skin through your jeans.
This feeling will not abridge any time soon.
Your own brain malleable in my hands
As I mold you to form a picture of me.
Hello, I have a name.
No, my name won't be a goodbye to you.
I invade your world, fear creeping as I lurk.
Invisible but to you.
Hello, I'm anxiety.
