Hello Winter
Hello Winter, welcome back
I thought you left, I was Ok with that.
A few warm days
made us think of spring.
I wake up to snow
the wind really stings.
Each time you zing us
the potholes grow.
The birds turn back South
The North Winds blow.
The furnace roars
and the coats come out.
Depression sets in
My co-workers pout.
We feel so cheated
The average low is beat.
The weather channel
Predicts no heat.
The Arctic Dip seems here to stay
The mushroom freaks they start to pray.
One or two springs it seems enough
Three or four winters is really tough.
Us Michiganders love the snow
This fricken mudd...it has to go.
The bikes and boats are ready to play
Please send mother winter away.
I bought a Jeep to close the gap
Too cold for the bike no snow for the Braap.
We carry clothes that do the same
To keep us warm and ease the pain.
We’ve had our fill, so go away
We long for sunshine, we’ll bear the rain.
When we look back, we’ll say the same
These Michigan SPRINGTERS are driving us insane.
I thought you left, I was Ok with that.
