Her Walk

She used to walk around with the burden of darkness around her.
Her fears, regrets and pain always blinded her.
Every day she would cry in the hope that one day,
some lone day, he would come-
come to her rescue, so she waits endlessly for him,
but he never comes.
Then more pain and darkness set in.
During her time in this twilight like state,
she heard the pitter patter of feet.
Then a voice said I am here, let me free you from your pain.
But the mere thought of someone being able to help her,
after she was let down already, scared her.
She ran to get away from this possibility of hope, but instead,
found herself about to fall into a deep depression,
but before she fell any deeper,
He caught her, pulled her close and said I am here for you.
As her eyes started to open, she finally saw the light.
It was the man in her heart she couldn't see until his light.
The man, the God, saved her from her walk.
