Her Warnings Weren’t Heard

you are fine her mother said,
it's just all in your head,
just go lay down in your bed,
and pray for your daily bread.
feeling helpless she got down on her knees,
prayed to God to just let her be free.
she had then counted to three
and then drifted off into a deep sleep.
her mother comes in her room through out the night,
thinking her daughter was sleeping,
but what she did not know was she was putting up a fight.
her mom all of a sudden turns on the light.
and what she seen gave her a fright.
a whole bottle of pills were taken
her mother began to shaken
her daughter she tried to waken.
but failed for her daughter taken.
she held her daughters cold body close
questioned her self of how she did not know,
why did her daughter have to go.
cause now mother is all alone.
