Her Wedding Day

Her white day had been soft with diamonds
This day she dreamed quietly had now come
In a perfect satin gown she felt so numb
The time was present with nothing but seconds
Now the large church had been dressed with garlands
With people in seats she never knew from
Mother was proud of who she had become
He was the most handsome of all husbands

All her life this was a true wish of love
Here her mind flutters with fears yet dismissed
She lifts her head to see him there above
When she hears his vows he takes her small wrist
Looking to those eyes she sees a white dove
No fright or fears seemed ever had exist
