Here Is Now

Here Is Now

What we believe can be true,
Maybe we should change our past,
Coming to terms with what we did,
Maybe for what we said.
Can we just accept,
That life keeps moving on?
It doesn't stop to rewind,
Or pause a minute or two.
We worry about the future,
Will I have this or that?
No matter what you do have,
It won't fit six feet deep.
Living life is simple,
Our souls made this choice for us,
This is our path, a destiny,
Just open your eyes and see.
Those flowers that are blooming,
Have you stopped and looked?
Or, sit on a park bench,
Listening to birds sing their songs.
Stop and think where you are,
Be very still and mindful,
Take a moment and just breathe,
Because here is now.
