Here Lies

Here lies the boy that never fit in anywhere.
His existence was a short and pitiful one,
rife with despair.
From an early age, he knew something few
would understand.
He discovered he was able to love another man.
One would assume this information would lead to
a peace from within,
but instead, the boy believed he would live his life
in perpetual sin.
His attempts to accept his sexuality were often in vain
as he viewed it as a spiritual stain.
The church was no help to him as well,
since they just told him that the only home for his
spirit was found in hell.
Rather than going through life carrying that weight,
he decided a bullet to the head would seal his fate.
