Here Lies

One last lingering breath,
memories and hardships flash before her eyes,
How can life become so
insufferable?
How can such a young soul,
hurt so bad?
Pretending was no longer substantial,
happiness never came easy,
it never will.
She is afraid to die,
Yet she is afraid to live
What a way to exist.
With a gasping breath,
and a racing heart,
she remembers.
She regrets.
Her pain
her problems
her sadness
bleed out on to the bathroom floor.
Here lies a
crumpled,
broken,
soul
Here lies a dark decaying heart.
