Heroin
I saw a man inject himself, right on my block.
The man raised his sleeve above the elbow, and started to smack his veins.
The needle was a serpent's body, which wrapped itself around the man's arm.
The constricting grip the snake had on this man, would make any gasp for air.
The man was high for 'about 5 minutes.
I heard hi say something, but I don't know what it was.
The man was sobered up now. Had no money now.
Only a need and a .42 stuck in one of his shoes.
This was all right on my block.
