He’s Changing

If you asked me
eight years ago,
I would have said,
"He wants me."

If you asked me
five years ago,
I would have said,
"He loves me."

If you asked me
three years ago,
I would have said,
"He needs me."

If you asked me
yesterday,
I would have said,
"Who knows."

I asked myself
this morning.
I realized
he's changing.

Let's not ask
tomorrow.
I am afraid
of his answer.
