Hey Disease, Go Away

I hate you
You make me angry
You cause me pain
You knock me down all the time
I hate you.
I am not weak,
I can stand on my own
I can look you in the eye and tell you to leave
I will not let you win.
I am not weak.
I don’t understand you
You move in and out like a shadow
I can’t see you but I know you’re there
You’re quiet before you attack
I don’t understand you.
I don’t want you around.
Please leave me alone
I despise what you do to me
I don’t have the energy for this battle
I don’t want you around.
I want to be strong
I want to stand up against you
And win
I want to keep fighting you
I want to be strong.
You will not make me fall
I will hold on to whatever I can
I will pray through the pain you cause
I will win
You will not make me fall.
You need to leave.
Go away as quietly as you arrived
I do not need you in my life
I am stronger than you
You need to leave.
You will not win.
