Hidden Pain

Pain hits her cheek like Tyson's gloves
as she screams and fights for love.
Will she ever be saved?
There is a reflection of pain in her eyes, as she fights
back tears.
Trying to figure out why she's put up with this for all these years,
anger fills his heart as he storms in her direction-
swings and punches.
She wants to leave but her heart is
so deceived,
wishing she could fly
knowing that he's about to get high,
shaking and trembling.
But her heart is no longer willing.
She sits in a gaze,
wondering if she would ever be saved.
