Hidden Treasure

Do they possess secret of immortality?
So mankind will suffer no more fatality
Sparkling gems with silver chains.
Gold coins make it rain.
Mermaids gold.
Richness unfolds.
Immortality so old.
It shimmered so cold.
Stories unheard & never told.
An embrace too slippery to hold.
We have legs with no fins.
Another species is not a sin.
Never to walk among us on land.
They have no feet only hands.
Intelligent sea life unaware.
How divers discover what is there.
Do the mermaids even care?
Beneath the water a reflective box.
Pearls of the sea unlock.
A key of the ocean far from the docks.
Falling down to thee underworld.
Diamonds & pearls in the water they sink & swirl.
Gifts generate greed & envy I'd affected.
Treasures of the sea found & collected.
An image on your eyes reflected.
