High Horse

By CMaly

From what you can see at a distance,
It’s easy to run without having a clue,
We are entitled to have an opinion,
It’s only a guess if you don’t try the shoes.

Maybe it’s fun to paint up a picture,
Drawn from a limited view,
The story is much more exciting,
If you script it from misguided news.

I understand that minding your manners,
Means minding your business too,
It’s not polite to nose-poke and meddle,
It’s also not nice to assume.

It’s defined as being judgmental,
To point without knowing the truth,
It seems hypocritical,
Making claims where you can’t follow through.

It’s one thing to stick to your morals,
If you decide that you don’t approve,
It’s different to sit on a high horse,
If the climb is void of the proof.
