Hillside View

A morning breeze passes by
A shining lake to catch my eye
Running through the fields
There she is
The beauty to my little view
My little hillside view
In the summer we will watch the clouds
In the spring we will spin around
In the fall we’ll kick the leafs
And in the winter snow angels we’ll bring
And every day we’d laugh and play
In the end the sun would set
So we would rest on that hill with a view
For it was always just me and you
Yes our days went like this
With your head on my chest
And the lake set ablaze by the golden sunset
And that beauty would flow into my eyes
A memory that I won’t forget
Not until I’m good and dead
From my hillside view
In the summer we’d watch the clouds
In the spring we’d spin around
In the fall we’d kick the leafs
And in the winter snow angels we’d bring
And on day my baby girl will grow
She’ll go out on her own
But I’m still sitting here looking up at the clouds
Looking at my hillside view
