His Love Is Holiness

I sit here and wonder when
these thoughts will ever end.
When my character is built strong enough
to defeat the doubts within.
These thoughts, they creep day and night,
trying to keep you from my site.
There is no door closed that You can't open.
So I humble myself, head hanging, shoulders sloping.
Who am I, within myself?
Struggles and turmoil put on a shelf.
Life's recipe for life involves yourself,
a person convinced, a person, yourself.
Because God gives us all the chance to choose.
To trust in Him, or to take life's bruise.
So open your eyes, and look down deep.
That hill you face, it may seem steep.
But tackle it head on, and please don't cheat.
Your feet and hands claw for every inch.
Then God picks you up, now it's a cinch.
But don't relax, and don't get comfortable.
For that task you face is an obstacle.
Ducking, dodging, side to side.
Knocked off your horse of foolish pride.
Your embarrassed and ashamed,
with feelings of worthlessness.
BUT don't despair, His Love Is Holiness.
