His Love Is Sufficient

You said I was worthless.
Useless.
You didn't actually say those words but you instead said
I couldn't sing
I couldn't dance
I couldn't even do hair
So what could I do ?
You called me worthless.
Do you not know your words sting mother ?
You drew a blade and cut me so deep
Blood came out and insecurity filled the void.
I cried for hours that night, insecurity heavy in my chest.
Little did I know there was a man named Jesus.
He whispered to me, I am loved
I am valued
I am God's masterpiece.
