My breath be yours to steal with simple looks,
For your eyes shine brighter than the full moon.
I want to know your secrets, know your nooks,
For I gave away my heart far too soon.

Oh burning heart of mine, why do you love?
What makes you beat so readily for him?
Dark eyes bring dark desires from above,
And my heart is his to love on his whim.

Oh glistening eyes of mine, why so wet?
Did the traitorous heart fall prey to life?
Everyone knows broken bones must be set,
But what about a broken heart at strife?

How could I ever believe myself fine,
When the breath he'd stolen was never mine?
