Hoedown in Heaven

There'll be a hoedown in heaven and Jesus will be there.
He'll send a group of angels to meet me in the air.
Friends who came so long ago will save a seat for me.
At the hoedown in heaven is where I want to be.

At the hoedown in heaven, we'll see His glory shine.
He left a note for Peter; said, "Let him in, he's mine!"
I saw a huge and joyful crowd beneath the sky so blue.
Come and joint the hoedown, there's still room for you.

A hoedown in heaven; who thought that it could be?
He's already built a house and said it was for me.
I know I don't deserve this, no, I never did.
But Jesus made it possible; He caught me when I slid.

I lived my life for pleasure until I saw His light.
Then He helped me change my ways, helped to set me right.
I read the whole good book He wrote and gave it to my friends.
And now like me, they see Him through love's perfect lens.

There'll be a hoedown in heaven and Jesus will be there.
I'll be sitting down right next to Him, I've tossed out all my cares.
I hope one day you'll join us and there's one thing you should know.
He already loves you, so give His way a go!
