Hold my Ground

Remember when we first met
And the promise you made to me
I never thought you'd be a threat
Oh why couldn't I see

Your hidden desire
Your true selfish side
You threw me in the fire
You opened my eyes wide

No longer
Will I be your slave
No longer
Will I hide my face in shame
No longer
Will you bring me down
I will stand
And hold my ground

Time passes slowly around
I'm stronger than before

No longer beaten down
I rise up off the bloody floor

On my head was placed a crown
For in my heart I am a warrior

No longer
Will I be your slave
No longer
Will I hide my face in shame
No longer
Will you bring me down
I will stand
And I will hold my ground

I pray you find peace in life
Letting your anger go
Throwing down your broken knife
You'll come to always know

That I will stand
And....
Ill always hold my ground
