Holiday’s Passing

As whispers of winter slowly take hold,
the winds begin blowing both brazen and bold.
Homes fill with laughter and music so dear,
the first thoughts of Christmas are finally here.
Children are starting to gather their dreams
and time passes slowly or so it does seem.
Stores are dressed brightly with red, green and blue,
the lights are all twinkling and bells ringing too.
With anticipation of things yet to be,
the shopping for gifts to go under the tree.
For mothers and fathers the time goes by fast,
there's no time to waste every minute must last.
Through hustle and bustle of the holiday fare,
family and friends must find time to share.
After worry and stressing the time is now here,
Christmas arrives and brings in the cheer.
The children are screaming and laughing out loud,
parents smile crazy so happy and proud.
So now with the end of another great season,
relax, thank God and remember the reason.
