Home

Walking through a sea of grass
On the plains that I call home
Realizing life is crass
Bid farewell and say shalom

Looking in a mirror of life
I can't even see myself
Happiness was always rife
I was put up on a shelf

Coming home has made me see
I can walk through the sweet trees
Look around and still find me
Peace has brought me to my knees

When I step too far and stray
I must run home to this place
Not content sitting at bay
Now I recognize my face
