The smell of burning wood floats in the air
It’s a nice smell
A smell that I grow to miss
My ahtahga?:weh settle on the floor
Where those who came before me have settled
My regalia acts as a hug
From my grandmothers that sit up in Sky World
They’re proud
I can feel it
The sense of comfort and warmth
Over takes my being
My soul feels at home
And I’m at ease
I close my eyes and listen
To the elder giving the Ganohonyohk
I’m sat in-between my
Kno:ha’ and Kno:ha’:ah
I wouldn’t have it any other way
This is where I truly belong
And my mind is agreed
