Home

Everyday I wonder
Where I go
When it is time
To move on to the next one
Will I ever find
A place I can
Hold on to
A place I can call home
The only place that feels
Like home is when
I’m with you
No matter where
It doesn’t matter as long as you’re there
You make me feel so
Fantastic that I forget
About everything that’s wrong
That’s where home is
Somewhere you feel
safe and protected
Loved for always despite all of
Our short comings real and made up
Everyone needs a place they call home
Even nowhere near where they were
Raised and went to school
Those are just places, bad situations
You may of been stuck with
before you had control
Over your life all your decisions
Home to me is something else
Not a place but a person
You want to be with and wants to be with you
Forever until you are old
We can build a house that
We can live in and raise our children
That turns a house into a home
Strangers into lovers they didn’t know they knew
That is how I feel
When I'm laying here with you
Together in your bed
Home is here with you
Forever until we’re gone only a memory to our kids
I will be the one who never leaves your side
Until we're dust swept into the sands of time
