Home One Day

The lightning strikes-
Rumble, mumble, grumble.
I arose from a nightmare.
Before you left for war
I had nothing to be afraid of.

I ponder whether the roaring
Thunderclap is what you are
Suffering at battle.
Are you in cold's sweat ‘cause
I'm not cheek by jowl with you?

I will wait, I know you are on your way
I believe you will be home one day.

I took you word that you will help me
Rake the leaves once all
The cherry blossoms bloom.
And we will skyrocket into the
Mound of leaves together as a whole.

The petals are descending so hastily,
Blocking my sight.
Is that the reason why
I cannot see your shadows?
