Honeybee

She is wild and fierce, a sweet honeybee
Her curls whip gently 'round her face
She shucks off her shoes and sets her toes free
She laughs loudly with the world, shamelessly
Amusement so easily and readily placed
She is wild and fierce, a sweet honeybee
She dances with the rain and it tickles her cheeks
A force to be reckoned with, a heart to embrace
She shucks off her shoes and sets her toes free
She blooms in the small world of reaching for infinity
In love with what others shrug off as bland or commonplace
She is wild and fierce, a sweet honeybee
She moves with the wind and it carries her to the sea
Dropping her in the ocean with a splash to make waves
She shucks off her shoes and sets her toes free
She wakes with the sun as it filters through the trees
This girl that lives in all of us until dreams chase her away
She is wild and fierce, a sweet honeybee
She shucks off her shoes and sets her toes free
