Hope

By Roberts

Hope
As if asking for someone for a rope
When you are falling in the air
Like asking a bandage for your heart that is going to tear
But then that rope does come and your heart does mend
It's like someone has a hand to lend
And if that someone does lend a hand it's like the world
as if being twirled
And you want to wear the best dress
Or the best suit to bless
The waiting crowd or flowers
But then that raging lion devours
All of that
Like something taking all the food like a rat
But that tiny little flame of hope still burning doesn't give up
Like a chipped away tea cup
So you start new
With all of this you held hope that you would find something
Even if that something lay in the darkest corners of the world
You hoped that you would find it
Hope
