Hope Inside Fire

I am a child from Syria, living under a tent
I sleep in the darkness
That is around me and inside my heart
I have no light to brighten my night
I have no right to move from my site
I look around and I only hear the bombs' sound
I dream of the school and the book
I dream of the teachers and how they spoke
I dream of my wishes, but all of them broke
I am dying in my place, no one hears
I have a broken heart, no one sees
Yes, hope does exist, but on what list?
I spent my childhood suffering, imprisoned in the ring
The ring of fear, the evil words I hear
The ring of racism, and the unfair system
The ring of hates, that on us rotates
But I will never give up
For my Hope, I will always look up
I always find people who let me down
Even though they wear a smile and a crown
I have been taught what hope really is
It's having faith in the middle of the crisis
It's looking on the bright side
Putting all your negative spirit aside
In fact, I am not out of the ring
I'm in its middle, but instead praises I sing
