Hope Is Near

That cold touch, cold to the core
The touch that makes your bones go numb, heart as cold as ice
Sends shivers down my stony spine
Glancing out in the blur, venturing on the lonely path
Abandonment drains my life away, wasting away gradually
Lost in the journey unknown, where my eyes go blind
I reach for the light, but my arms give out
Like stones trampling heavily over my might
I must reach the light, oh, so bright,
Tears running down my cold stoned face, no hope, what's left?
Should my sorrows drain my one hope left in me?
That's it! Oh, how could one's eyes be so blind!
It was my future, luring me in eager for joy and treasury!
I must live as if yesterday never ceased to exist
