Hounds

They keep following my scent, looks like there is no escape
And I thought I was ahead, but now I'm falling behind

They keep pushing me over, across the rugged terrain
But I keep trudging on, with only one thing in mind

So I'll run like the wind, forget my worries and pains
Because they'll tear me apart, they'll lock me up in chains

I can hear their laughter, their screams, their sounds
They're coming after me, like blood thirsty hounds

Their blood curdling cries, echo through the hills
Their voices so cold, it gives me the chills

They're right behind me, ready to pounce
They're enjoying the chase, giving into every ounce

Like a army of lions, they march toward their prey
It's me those dogs are after, the end is today
