House Goodbye

There was a house; a gathering
surrounded it; it was
a place, sited
well,on a hilltop, more
swelling, of earth, a wave
passing slowly, slowly
from far away, from far back.
The house rode the wave's crest,
and passed, like a wave. The house,
we rode it,like a boat; it was
a boat, and a wave, wave riding
wave, crest cresting crest.
We rode a crest, ourselves,
and crested, passed
on a wave of earth, slow,
slower than ourselves, slower
than what we had made, the gathering
we had raised, cresting, passing,
a house, a wave. Goodbye.
