How do you sleep?
How do you go into a slumber, when I, myself, cannot?
My thoughts, like wild tigers, run,
And it is all because of you.

How do you sleep?
Knowing that I lie awake constantly in love with you?
They say when you’re on someone else’s mind you can’t sleep,
So why are you in your deep, unconscious mind?

How do I sleep?
How do I fall asleep during the nights where my thoughts know no end?
How do I slumber so easily, when you’re not here?

How do I sleep in harmony, without the breath of you, blowing me away to my dreams?
How do I sleep without us being one, intertwined in love?
How do I sleep without your warmth and your care?
How do I do it?

How do you sleep when I am not there to kiss you goodnight?
How do I sleep without the squeeze of your cuddle, that is ever so tight?
How do we sleep, alone, with nothing to hold?
How do we sleep, without solidarity in one another…
